Nature house in Balkbrug

The guesthouse (partly vintage) is housed in the front part of a farmhouse. It has its own entrance and consists of a living room (with TV, DVD player and radio), a bedroom with double bed (140x200 centimeter), a bathroom with shower cabin and wash stand, an entrance with toilet and a kitchen with fridge, gas cooker, microwave, washing machine, coffee machine and all kitchen utensils for self-catering to prepare your own meals. The whole house is provided with central heating. Wi-Fi is available. Free parking space. The apartment in the front house is only available for non-smokers / vegetarians, or for those who are prepared to eat no meat or fish (this is because the owners are vegetarian) in the apartment during their stay. Accommodation rates include bed linen, towels, tea towels, kitchen and toilet paper. The house owners expect that the accommodation space is left tidy (vacuum cleaners and cleaners are present). They do not accept pets.

The farm is surrounded by more than 4000 m2 of ornamental and herb gardens with many nice seating areas connected by a walking path of approximately one kilometer. The gardens have many extras: vegetable garden, bee- and butterfly garden, bird forest, frog pool, orchard, and herb path. There are various terraces in sun or shade. The donkey Midas, who has often been on a hiking holiday with its bosses, will look curious from his pasture, just like our lama Thomas. The gardens adjoin the beautiful protected valley of the Reest (the small border river between Drenthe and Overijssel) with the historic footbridge. From the frog pool you can see the stork nest in the Reest Valley, where storks have come to hatch every year. From the house there are many beautiful hiking and cycling tours in both Overijssel and Drenthe. A number of leaflets and brochures are available in the living room. Depending on the season, eggs and / or biologically grown vegetables are available from the own garden. The location is central to explore various interesting places in the area, such as the Wildlands Zoo in Emmen, Mien Ruys Gardens in Dedemsvaart, Amusement Park / Ponypark Slagharen, Museum De Fundatie in Zwolle, the water village of Giethoorn and Bad Bentheim near the German border.
