Nature house in Iglesias

A delightful ruralhut located in a beautiful area. Here you can enjoy absolute calmness and a large amount of space in a self-sufficient cabin. The landlords live 30 meters away on the same terrain. But they will of course not bother you! The rural hut is situated in a pretty valley in the middle of fruit orchards. Particularly in the spring and fall, but also frequently in the winter months, the temperature are agreeable and you can fully enjoy the tranquillity and surrounding nature.  Almost throughout the whole year, the orchard offer something to savour such as pears, figs, cactus fruits, khaki, almonds and chestnuts to roast. Especially in the spring, the orchard remains very colourful with its wild flowers including wild genres of orchids. A beautiful place but the way to it is commonly said to be an „exciting experience“. The 200m long path leading to the cabin is unpaved and steep at its end. It is a little frightening the first time, but even with a normal rental car, it is possible to drive up and down. The landlords will make sure that the shrubs and trees will be pruned alongside the path so that they won´t be any scratches on the car. Sardinia remains wild! The internet and WIFI have improved and have been installed again in March 2016.

Nature and surroundings

With a good book but also without, you will enjoy the direct surroundings of the cabin. But there is the sea. The coast is 10 km away. Impressive rock formation alternate with beautiful, long but also small sand beaches. In the off-season, you can basically walk or be on your own.  In this part of Sardinia, there are also several large nature reserve, where nice hiking and cycling trips can be undertaken. In the cottage, you can find hiking maps and books with extensive descriptions of hiking trails. The capital Cagliari is surely worth a visit! In the mornings, the indoor fish market San Benedetto is full of life and offers a great variety of freshly caught fish. The old city part is located on a hill and gives a stunning outlook on the bay of Cagliari and the salt marshes and wetlands of Molentargius. With ist rich collection, the national history museum provides an insight into the special history of Sardinia. If you go visiting the Nuraghe of Barumini with this knowledge, the village dating back to the Bronze Age will appear even more impressive. However, you can also go sailing or canoeing along the coast, go horse riding or climbing. Actually too many activities to list.
