The only glacial lake on Dane land is also on the premises of this protected area – Stejlebjerg.

Birdwatchers will also love the Almindingen forest as numerous watch towers have been erected for ornithologists. Mountain biking is another popular sport especially in the area under Rytterknægten – the highest point on the island.
Windsurfing is a great activity for adrenaline seekers. Bornholm’s beaches are windy and provide the best conditions for a fun day in the water. Rock climbing can also spike your adrenaline levels up. The unique rocky scenery of this island offers many great rock climbing spots – especially the rift valley Ekkodalen. Sea Kayaking is also very popular among the locals: they love to go near the beach and hang out on the small rocks near the shore called skerries.
