Accommodation in Germany

Germany is an old European country best known for its beer and astonishing architectural masterpieces. However, there is another side to Germany which is often overlooked by tourists - its nature. Although we cannot say beer and castles aren't great too, there is something incredibly touching about spending some quality time away deep in the German forests.

The accommodation options we offer include chalets, cottages, huts and so on. For a truly amazing stay, consider booking one of our nature houses and enjoy the serenity of German nature. The houses are situated in rural areas characterized by lush vegetation and stunning views.

Discover the pristine German environment

Due to the specific characteristics of German culture, the environment of the country is well preserved and can be easily enjoyed by anyone. Hamburg Waddensea National Park is an astonishing example for this. This protected area is part of the Wadden Sea of Hamburg UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1992 and welcomes visitors with an abundance of serene nature to explore on the edge of the North Sea, where the estuary of the river Elbe pours into its waters. Animal lovers are going to truly enjoy this park as it shelters more than 2,000 animal species including seals, fish and seabirds.

Steinhuder Lake is another great place for a day of exploring the stunning German countryside. This lake area is particularly loved by locals for its spectacular views and great conditions for a day full of activities. This is the biggest lake in Northwestern Germany; it is located a short drive away from Hanover and it is remarkably shallow, reaching only 3 meters in the deepest parts. There are also two artificial islands in the lake - one is a former military fortress used during the 18th century, while the other has been made 50 years ago to serve as a recreational area on the lake. 310

Activities to try in Germany

In the area of Steinhuder Lake you can meet many locals enjoying a weekend on the beach of one of the two artificial islands. Moreover, there are cruises offered across the lake running on schedule. Biking is also a popular activity in the area mainly on the circuit path available around the lake - it is 35 km long and will take you across the enchanting surrounding landscapes.

If you are a passionate hiker, do not miss the opportunity to visit and explore the Wilds Monbachtal - a famous trail in the Black Forest National Park. You will not regret spending time on this 10 km long journey of tranquility. The trail will eventually lead you to a small but exceptionally beautiful waterfall.

If you want to combine an adrenaline-boosting sport with the outstanding historical monuments in the German countryside, have in mind that you can totally do this. One of the best ways is to paraglide through Bavaria and enjoy the traditional tourist hot spots from the air. You can fly above the famous castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau and enjoy the striking views of this German province.
