Biscay is a small province in the north of Spain. The north of this region borders the Bay of Biscay, a cove of the Atlantic Ocean. Nature in Biscay

Inland in the Biscay region, you will soon come across a mountainous landscape. The mountains are very varied. Also along the coast there is often a beautiful landscape to see. The coastline is an alternation of small villages and rocky coasts.

On the rocks live wall lizards, and on flowery grasslands you will soon find beautiful species of butterflies, such as the silver moon. In addition, in Biscay there are many species of birds. If you keep a close eye on the sky, you have a chance to see a griffon vulture or dwarf eagle. Along brooks the cheerful blue and orange coloured kingfisher can be found.
