WOW! That’s the name of my green property. My cozy little forest cottage is situated in a beautiful location on the edge of the Drents Friese Wold. In this little corner of the forest, you’ll find peace and quiet, with birds singing, squirrels scampering, and true silence at night. The garden offers plenty of privacy, with both sunny and shady spots. As an interior stylist and nature lover, I recently lovingly renovated this house and furnished it mostly with vintage furniture. Carefully selected pieces, with the occasional quirky twist. From the bedroom, you have a view of the garden, and there’s a fly screen in the bedroom. I also stay at this Zen retreat regularly, and you’ll see— and feel—my creative touch in the interior. It’s also a great place to relax by the wood stove in the spring and fall. There’s no TV and no Wi-Fi, which makes it even more relaxing. Parking is available on the property.
Nature and surroundings
My recently renovated forest cabin is located on the edge of the Drents Friese Wold, nestled in the woods of Zorgvlied. Here you’ll experience peace and quiet, and this place invites you to slow down. Here, you can just take it easy until you’re green with envy ;-) In the morning, the many birds chirp, and squirrels come to grab a bite from the outdoor table (feel free to bring some unpeeled walnuts). There are plenty of biking and hiking trails in the area. Diever and Dwingeloo are just a 15-minute drive away. There you’ll find fun weekly markets, restaurants, and supermarkets. A farm shop is nearby where you can buy fresh eggs, fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy products, and farm-fresh cheese. It’s also open on Sundays.
