This nature house is a charming vacation rental cottage adjacent to the Quinta gardens with its own private gardens, one blue and white “Plaid Garden” planted with ‘Richard Grey’ lavender, white narcissus, Iris pallida ‘Variegata’, blue flowered geraniums and iris, “Blue Eyes “ roses and lacecap hydrangeas under the old olive trees. The second, a Mexican garden, is a collection of South American plants: fuchsias, ipomeas, dahlias, a rare cornus urbiniana, Choisyas, an extraordinarily large Agave, Asimina triloba “PawPaw” , colourful perennials and cacti. Solar Water Heater. Water from wells. Insulated roof. A library of books, CDs and tourist informations is present in the Casa with free WIFI and cable TV. The Casa has a private parking and Casa Guests enjoy free access to the Quinta"s remarkable gardens.

Guests and Visitors are welcomed to the Quinta in the Reception Offices, situated in the Folly at 113 Rua Feteira. Annabelle de La Panouse or her assistant will greet you on your arrival and give you information on “Les Jardins de la Quinta das Mil Flores”, shopping and local businesses, tourist information for hiking, biking, nearby river beaches and the many UNESCO classed monuments in the region. The Grape Arbour next to the Folly is covered in century old vines of native Morangero grapes providing cool shade in summer and a colourful autumn umbrella. The grapes are pressed and bottled for a 100% organic grape juice. The Citrus Spiral maze presentis 50+ varieties of rare citrus trees. A Chinese Poets’ Pavilion and a Wisteria Pergola face each other across a prairie of wild flowers. The organic kitchen garden, orchards and olive trees provide fruit, vegetables and olive oil. The Wedding Rose Gardens are a year round splendour of hundreds of gloriously perfumed flowering shrubs.
