Nature house in Amsterdam

In the picturesque, monumental village of Ransdorp and hidden in one of the most beautiful protected natural areas, Waterland, lies this nature house. Located in the yard of a recently restored 18th-century farmhouse, the detached accommodation offers all the comfort and privacy you need. You can do your own catering in the well-equipped kitchen or choose from a wide range of restaurants in surrounding villages or in Amsterdam. The accommodation has a living room with an open kitchen and dining table. The master bedroom is on the second floor and has a spacious king-size box-spring bed with private bathroom, equipped with shower. From all rooms you have breathtaking views of the countryside, grazing cattle and other wonders of nature. The kitchen has a stove, grill/microwave and refrigerator. Coffee and tea making facilities and dishwasher are also available. Inside, there is a TV with DVD player, Wi-Fi and central heating. Outside you can enjoy the large garden with terraces and covered dining area with barbecue. Parking is safe on site and bicycles can be placed indoors in a private bike shed. The price is based on an occupancy of two people. A third person will be charged €25 per night. Babies and small children (sleeping in crib) are free of charge.

The center of Amsterdam is only eight kilometers away and is easily accessible by bicycle, car, (free) ferry or public transportation. The rural part of Amsterdam Waterland has been declared a National Landscape because of its cultural, historical, natural and scenic qualities. Waterland consists largely of peatland, making it very suitable for hikers, cyclists, swimmers, rollerblades, skaters and other outdoor activities. There are many published routes available for biking, hiking or boating. Along the banks of the IJ-water you can find surprisingly nice restaurants, but also in the surrounding villages such as Holysloot, Durgerdam, Schellingwoude, Monnickendam, Volendam and Broek in Waterland. Shops are numerous in the immediate vicinity. The nearby Landmarkt is a covered marketplace where you can buy fresh, local and organic products, seven days a week, and you can even enjoy lunch or dinner.
