Villas in France

How do you envision a perfect vacation? Could it be relaxing pampering on a sunny beach, or sightseeing, or entertainment and shopping, or wellness, or skiing? Surprisingly, there is a country where you can enjoy all kinds of recreation at once! This is France. You can check our selection of villas in France just choose a region and decide what your holiday in France will be like.

Plants world

The north and west of France are mainly planes and low mountains. Central and Eastern regions - medium-altitude mountains. The snowy areas of the mountain peaks are practically barren and lifeless, and occasionally mosses and lichens can be found there. Wetlands and peat bogs can be seen here. Alpine meadows have developed under the mountain peaks. Common daisies, bells and other flowers grow on them. You can also find wild carrots, angelica, meadowsweet. Many useful and medicinal plants grow in the French alpine meadows. Arnica helps relieve muscle pain, and the curly lily was used as food until it became a protected species. Wild orchid helps in treating gastritis. Brewers used to use gentian to add flavor to their beverages. Smelevka is used by French and Italian chefs to prepare various dishes.

Under the alpine meadows begins the forest zone, which is coniferous forests. Pines, larch, fir and spruce trees grow in them. The coniferous strip is replaced by a broad-leaved zone. These forests are rich in oaks, chestnuts and beech trees. However, there are not enough forests left in France, because these lands began to be used by humans for the cultivation of cultivated plant species.

The Mediterranean coast of France is only suitable for hardy plant species. This happened because people exterminated the rocks growing there, and the rains contributed to the exposure of the earth's cover. Therefore, most often there are low trees and bushes - olives, cork oaks, alpine pines, juniper, myrtle and oleander. Also, these territories are rich in exotic plant species - eucalyptus, palms and agaves.

Animal world

Human activities have had a detrimental effect on the animal kingdom. To date, many individuals have been exterminated or listed in the Red Book. But in local reserves, you can find a considerable number of Central European, Mediterranean and Alpine representatives of the animal world, for example, brown bears, chamois and stone goats.

Nevertheless, some species of animals have survived and live in their natural environment. The predatory representatives of these animals are: foxes, badgers, geneta. Small rodents include squirrels, mice and rats. Hares and bats can be observed in the woodlands. Red deer, roe deer, wild boars and beavers also found their refuge in the shade of the trees. Mouflons live in the mountains of the island of Corsica.

The bird world is more diverse than the animal world. In the Pyrenees, ascending to the mountain peaks, one can hear the sounds of the willow warbler. You can also see bullfinch, pikas, meadow mints. The trills of the songbird are heard everywhere. Forest territories are divided by: wood grouses, ratchet warblers, woodcocks, red-winged wall climbers, white-toothed thrush, alpine jackdaws, gray and tundra partridges and alpine finches. Birds of prey are also found in French territories. The main representatives of carnivorous birds are: bearded vulture, griffon vulture, vultures, eagles and sea eagles.

The water world of France is not rich. Mostly there is a man-raised trout. And only in the bays you can find sardine, flounder, herring. Representatives of marine and oceanic animals are: lobsters, shrimps and various shellfish. On the territory of France, about 10 reserves have been created, in which a large number of rare species of animals and plants live.

Interesting things to do in France

France is a country with a rich history and picturesque geography. Of course, her heart is Paris - the most romantic city. It is unlikely that you will be able to cover all the sights of the French capital in one trip, but visiting the Louvre, strolling around Montmartre and the Champs Elysees, seeing Notre Dame Cathedral and the famous Eiffel Tower is a must.

Of course, not all cultural monuments are concentrated in Paris. History lovers should also visit Fontainebleau, the Russian cemetery of Sainte-Genevieve-des-Bois, Versailles, and numerous castles. Gambling travelers will love the gambling establishments of Monte Carlo. Families with children will love the amusement parks - Disneyland, Asterix, Futuroscope, France in Miniature.

If you prefer a seaside holiday in France, congratulations: many world celebrities share your tastes. In the resorts of the Cote d'Azur, you can easily meet a half-naked Hollywood star or an oligarch in swimming trunks. You can also bask on the seaside in other French regions, for example, in Aquitaine, Brittany or on the island of Corsica.

Do you want to improve your health? Then you - to the thermal resort of Vichy or in Eviani Aix-les-Bains - health resorts. Alpine skiing in France is stereotyped as a "glamorous zone" where parties with models continue non-stop, expensive champagne flows like a river, and money rains. But most of the resorts in the French Alps are still focused on skiing, not entertainment. And even the notorious Courchevel is, first of all, a skiing region, and only then - a gathering place for the "rich and famous".

Climate

France's climate varies from region to region. The optimal time to visit Paris is late spring or early autumn, and the French Riviera is June or September. Summer in Corsica is long and hot, the temperature varies between +21°C and +27°C from May to October. In the Alps, the first snow falls by the end of November and lasts until May. February, which has many sunny days, is the best time for skiing. Obviously, a vacation in France offers many amazing options, from which it is easy to choose the one that suits you!
