About this nature house

Do you want to experience the true Burgundy feeling within a three-hour drive from Utrecht? Are you seeking nature, peace and culinary enjoyment? Don't you want a beer, but a real trappist? Do you want to relax and have time for yourself, but also wanna see the children build their ponds in rippling streams and experience the most exciting adventures? Then this house is definitely for you. It is located in a park in the middle of nature, in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes and is fully equipped. Free Wi-Fi is available. Also the kitchen is complete and equipped with Senseo, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, oven and toaster. In de living room you'll find a fireplace, television and radio/CD player. The house is well insulated and is heated with a HR + gas heater. The outdoor terrace offers a lot of privacy and beautiful views of the lake. There is ample garden furniture. Next to the bungalow is a shallow stream where the smallest explorers can enjoy themselves. Outdoor games have never been as adventurous as on this small-scale park with private bungalows only. The park is about 25 hectares in size. Rest, space and nature are guaranteed. The Walloon Tourism Department has acclaimed this bungalow with three ''oak leaves'', which officially endorse the high qualities of this cottage. One of the most important points that led to the high score is the location of the house, in the midst of nature.

Nature and surroundings

Directly bordering to the south side of the park is a Nature 2000 area. Nature 2000 is a nature project developed by the European Community, which designates areas of high ecological value, which together form an interconnected network of valuable natural areas. Ecologically, the park benefits greatly from this! There is a butterfly valley, where rare butterflies are being observed, such as the multicoloured 'Dikkopje', the 'Red Firefly' and the 'Black Hairstreak'. But that's not it. At the park, 22 rare plants, birds, mammals and amphibians have been observed during a recent study for the protection of nature in the park. Of course, these 22 special specimens live next to a wide range of other equally beautiful species! The park is located in the town of Izier. Izier belongs to the municipality of Durbuy. Durbuy is located at the Ourthe river in the heart of the Ardennes. Durbuy is a charming picturesque authentic town with a cozy square and it has many historic buildings. Furthermore, you will find many cozy terraces and shops where you can usually buy local delights and products from the region. Visiting ''the smallest city in the world'' is definitely recommended. The surrounding nature offers many possibilities for hikers and cyclists. On the Ourthe you can go kayaking and rafting.
