Swedish tent

Sweden is a country in Europe which is undoubtedly a very popular tourist destination. As such, some of its cities are bound to be buzzing with life and visitors. However, you can very well head outside of the city centres for your exploration of Swedish nature (only after you have tried the highly-coveted meatballs though!). Apart from busy cities, the country is also home to an incredible variety of islands, some of which should definitely be included in your agenda.

If you want to fully immerse yourself in nature, one thing is sure – you need to book one of the tents we have carefully selected for you. Make no mistake – you will not need to compromise on amenities and comfort. In fact, you can count on both. Tents, however, make sure that you never lose your connection to nature, as it is only a step away. Besides, as a bonus, our friendly hosts are quite knowledgeable of the area and can readily provide you with some advice with regards to your holiday.

Nature in Sweden

As already mentioned, the country is rich in islands, and you just have to visit at least some of them. This is why our first recommendation is the Kalix archipelago – a wonderful region comprising around 800 islands. Although we are optimistic in nature, we fully realize that exploring all of them is impossible. However, seeing one of them is possible – and outright advisable. The island bearing the name Malören would constitute a good choice. The place itself is amazing, but so is the way you can reach it – you need to travel by boat!

We are fans of national parks, which automatically means that we are also fans of Sweden. There is a particular one which we would advise you to visit, and it is called Muddus National Park. It was founded during 1942, and it has been stunning ever since. The park is home to a variety of natural attractions such as waterfalls and forests. There is something which you should by all means see, and it is the Muttosgahtjaldak waterfall. The view there is one to be remembered – waterfalls are beautiful, and this one is 42 meters high!

Swedish activities

The country has an astonishing number of lakes, so it is very natural that most of the activities around here involve water under one form or another. In case you are a devoted angler, do not forget your gear – Sweden abounds with opportunities for fishing. Make sure to check the local requirements prior to angling though, as a permit could be needed. If you enjoy being around water, there are additional ways through which you can achieve this goal. One such example, which is significantly more physically demanding compared to fishing, is kayaking. It might be a bit strenuous, but believe us when we say that it will be worth it. The feeling of satisfaction is usually so strong that even the feeling of exhaustion slowly fades away in the background.
