Luxury camping tents

Camping is not always a truly wild experience. Nowadays, you can go camping without worrying about having a shower anymore. In fact, the “art” of glamping and luxurious tents has gained much popularity recently. Yes, it is true that you can enjoy all the advantages of a stay in the wild, without a compromise in terms of facilities and even a luxurious setting.

Real nature lovers know that in order to reconnect with nature you need to truly immerse yourself in it. There is no other way to better achieve this, than choosing to stay in a camping tent in the wildest of places. A rocky mountain, a quiet meadow, a sunny hill, or the bank of a river – choose your own preference for the location and rest assured that you are in for an adventure by choosing to book a stay in a luxury camping tent.

Surrounded by nature

Although mostly popular among tourists in terms of its history and modern infrastructure, Germany has beautiful nature as well. There are plenty of national and natural parks, a serene countryside, rivers and lakes, the Alps to the south and even a coastal area to the north. For example, the Upper Middle Rhine valley is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site and will definitely strike you with its beauty. It is the home to more than 30 castles, 60 medieval towns and picturesque views. Near the town of Bingen (a historical site), you can see a magnificent deep gorge, where the river makes a big turn before it enters the Bacharach valley.

And while Germany also has an outlet into the Wadden Sea, the most beautiful seashore area of this sea is located in the Netherlands. It presents a combination of tidal flats and wetlands and has become an important territory for the biological diversity, especially of birds. The unique biological area created here, has become a breeding ground for numerous species – plants, shells, and even a few types of seals and porpoises. Schiermonnikoog National Park is one of 14 islands on the edge of the North Sea. It was the first Dutch national park ever established and it is a pronounced UNESCO Heritage Site together with the whole Wadden Sea coast.

Discover nature through these activities

The Rheinsteig Trail in Germany follows the river valley of Rhein for 320 kilometers and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hikes around Europe. Except for the amazing natural surroundings, the route passes through one of the most important areas for Germany’s folklore - Lorelei – the mystical home of many fairytale creatures like fairies.

On the island of Schiermonnikoog, make sure to bring your bike with you, or rent one, because the whole area is crossed by numerous bike paths and cycling is the best (and also very healthy) way to experience this national park, as no cars are allowed here.

The Lauwersmeer National Park in the Netherlands has been an official Dark Sky Park since 2016. Due to its location, natural darkness is preserved, creating the perfect conditions for spotting nocturnal animals or stargazing. On clear weather nights, you can see the Milky Way and during summer, you can always see light to the north where the sun doesn’t set at all.
