Let yourself be amazed by the German natural diversity
Germany is a country where you can explore a number of national parks. One of the most prominent ones is the Black Forest National Park. It is relatively young, being established in the beginning of 2014, and it has a lot of natural wonders which you can explore. If you want a get-away from the overcrowded and noisy cities, look no further!
You can also pay a visit to Blautopf lake, located in the south of the country. Apart from being spectacular and very beautiful, you will be interested to hear one of the many myths surrounding the location. One of the most famous of them concerns the depth of the lake. In fact, it is claimed that every time someone has tried to determine how deep the water is, a supernatural spirit has counteracted the attempts. As a result, the depth is still not known until this day.
However, if you feel as if this is not existing enough, you can always stop by the Andernach Geyser. You will be amazed to understand that its powerful eruption can reach the heights of around sixty meters! It is also interesting to note that the geyser actually ejects cold, and not hot, water!
There is always something to do in Germany
There is also something for those of you who want to get their daily dose of exercise, too! There are several biking locations, where you can ride through the forest or in the mountain, for example. One of our favourite biking trails is the one at the Finzbachtal Valley. It is not the shortest one, but it is definitely rewarding and worth it.
If you feel more secure on your feet, do not get discouraged. You can alternatively try the Wilderness Trail, which goes for more than three kilometres inside the forest. Right at the end of the 20th century – in 1999 – the location was hit by a hurricane, which has left some of its marks on the surroundings. However, this makes your stay even more interesting, as you can witness how the environment develops itself despite adversities and setbacks.
