Nature.house is a Dutch company (in Dutch Natuurhuisje.nl) that is founded in 2009 and is specialised in offering cottages in the middle of nature, away from your daily struggle. Or as we call it: naturehouses!

If you would like to file a complaint about our services, you can contact us via the above e-mail address and telephone number and file a complaint with one of our employees. Of course, Nature.house will send guests an acknowledgment of receipt of the complaints sent by mail. No later than one month after the receipt of the complaint, Nature.house will give a substantive reply in writing. If you are not satisfied with the handling of the complaint, you can also submit it to the Disputes Committee via the European ODR Platform (http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/).
Where do I find the terms and conditions?
Nature.house works as an intermediary with different partners who all use their own policies. When you click on 'book now' in one of the advertisements of a naturehouse, you will see an overview of your booking. On the bottom of this page you will find a link to the general terms and conditions that are applicable to your booking.
The advertisement
Where is the naturehouse located?
You can see the location of a naturehouse by clicking on the Google Maps part on the advertisement. By clicking here, a pop-up will show up on your screen, here you can zoom in and out to better look at the location. This is however just an indication of the location and does not show the exact address of the cottage.
How is the order of the search results determined?
The first step to finding a suitable naturehouse is to fill in a destination (nature area, city, country, region). After that you'll find an overview of the houses in that area. The houses closest to the destination are shown first. A distinction is made in the method of payment:
- First of all, the houses of private landlords who handed out the payment to naturehouse are shown;
- After that, more houses of private landlords will appear, hereby the payment is settled by the owner himself;
- Finally, the results end with the naturehouses offered by tour operators.
Are you also searching for a specific stay and arrival date in addition to the destination? Then it is possible to filter the search results by price (low to high).
Can I take my dog with me?
You can do that for sure! Though, there are many owners who are not pleased when you bring your dog. On the top of the advertisement there is a logo that indicates if a dog is permitted or not. Are you still in doubts about this? Do not hesitate to contact us.
My reservation
How can I book a naturehouse?
If you look at the advertisement of a naturehouse, there is a calendar that shows three different colors. A white day in the calendar means that the day is not available for arrivals. A green day means the day is still available to book. A dark green colored day is the day you have selected at the moment. When you click on another available arrival date (the green days) it changes to pink. If selected, the available lengths of stay appear underneath the calendar. By clicking on 'book now' next to the selected length of stay, you can book a naturehouse.
Can I book an alternative period?
In most cases a lot is possible. Our employees will try their best to book an alternative period. Keep in mind that alternative periods are usually not possible in the peak season and/or extra costs will be charged.
Is my booking a definite booking?
Most of the naturehouses are managed by private persons, however, there are also naturehouses that are managed by touroperators. In other words, there are two possibilities:
- A booking with a private person
In the case you book a naturehouse that is managed by a private person, the booking will first be proposed to the owner. After the owner agrees with the booking you will receive a mail that the owner has accepted your booking. That is the moment the booking is definite and the owner will contact you about further details (payment, key handover etcetera).
- A booking with a touroperator
A booking for a naturehouse that is managed by a touroperator will most likely be converted directly into a definite booking. After your booking you will receive an overview of your booking from Nature.house. Then the touroperator will send you a mail with further explanation (deposit, key handover etcetera).
Can I take an option?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to place an option on one of the naturehouses. We are working with private landlords who can also receive bookings through other rental websites. We can not therefore close a period of time. To make sure nobody is faster than you and the period is not booked by someone else, you can place a booking request 24 hours a day through our website.
Where can i find my booking?
In the right upper corner you will find 'Log in'. Here you can create an account to manage your bookings and save your bucketlist. After a booking you will receive a mail with a confirmation including all important details of your booking. Such as: rental price, extra costs, personal data and house-id.
Payment & cancellation
To whom should I pay?
The payment of the rental amount will not be made with Nature.house but directly with the owner or touroperator. After making the reservation the owner or touroperator will inform you about the payment.
What are the possible payment options?
You can make the deposit and the remaining of the rental amount by a payment through a banktransfer. All the owners make use of internet banking. Touroperators offer you the possibility to pay with Ideal, Mister Cash or credit card as well.
Should I make a deposit too?
This depends on the owner. In the case of touroperators, the deposit policy is mentioned in the booking form. Do not hesitate to ask us about deposit policies for specific naturehouse.
Can I cancel my reservation?
In the unfortunate case you have to cancel your booking we ask you to inform us as soon as possible. When you directly inform us after you just made the booking, in most cases the cancellation is in this case free of costs.
Plant trees
For what cause do we plant trees?
We plant a tree for every night booked. Besides we will plant 10 trees if you refer a friend, one tree for creating a guest account and one tree for every newsletter signup.
Why do we plant trees?
We're planting these trees because we know and acknowledge the importance of climate change. If we destroy nature, in the end there will be no naturehouses.
Our partner
These trees are planted by our partner Edenprojects. This non-profit organisation is planting all over the world. In this way we will help CO2 reduction and besides create employment for local people.
Where do we plant trees?
