Nature in Guadalajara

The Alto Tajo natural park is located in the southeast of the province. From your holiday home you can make beautiful walks in this nature reserve.  In Alto Tajo you will find an alternation between forests, rocks and rivers. The steep cliffs and wild forces of the water often result in impressive landscapes. On the other hand, in the northwest of Guadalajara, you will find the same kind of area, the natural park Hayedo de Tejera Negra. Here, too, the hilly landscape is dominated by forests and rivers. From your cottage you can also visit some of the large lakes in the province, including the Embalse de Entrepenas.

Guadalajara is rich in plants and animals. You can also come across all kinds of things in the vicinity of your holiday home. Birds of prey often travel long distances every day and can be seen in many places. Species that you may encounter in Guadalajara include the red kite, black kite, Egyptian vulture and griffon vulture. Songbirds that occur in the province are the bee-eater, black starling and red-backed swallow. The varied forests are rich in butterflies, and you may encounter the Cleopatra and essenpage.
