As the current owners, we have completely renovated this traditional boathouse from the 17th century with love and attention to original details. Using only beautiful and sustainable/natural materials. It still has its traditional look, but also with contemporary comforts like water and limited electricity added. Now it is ready for a wonderful vacation! Kitchen Originally the kitchen is equipped with a wood stove, on which you can cook and use the stove. We added a newer kitchen with refrigerator, electric stove and sink with hot and cold water. Dining can be done at a wooden table for 4. Living room Tastefully decorated with vintage designer furniture and a comfortable sofa bed. Optionally, we can provide extra comfort with an extra topper. Sleeping loft The spacious sleeping loft is accessible via a wooden staircase and has a lovely bed. A large swing window gives a view of stars and provides fresh air.
Nature and surroundings
The island of Orust is located on the beautiful west coast of Sweden. From the cottage you can go directly into nature to walk and swim in a lake or in the sea if preferred. The plot is surrounded by forest and animals are the neighbors. On the property there is a common area with an open kitchen if you are looking for company for a shared cup of coffee or to make a campfire in the evening, The island can be explored by bike or if you want something further you can explore the coast by car. The cities of Gothenburg and Uddevalla are within an hour's drive. For the children, the forest is of course already a great adventure. But there is also a zipline, trampoline, table tennis table and a net among the trees.
