Located in our garden is this charming log cabin, offering plenty of privacy on a large lawn with the option to cook and dine outdoors under cover in a sheepfold, and a gas and charcoal barbecue and a fire pit. Parking is available next to the cabin. From Sunday through Thursday, you can use the SAUNA once for FREE. By bus (stop right outside) and metro, you can reach Amsterdam-Zuid in half an hour. Activities: swimming in the private pool (May–August) or the Kromme Mijdrecht River, hiking, and biking in the beautiful surroundings. Or grab our pedal boat and float along the Amstel. Dine out at De Hoef near De Strooppot, or in Uithoorn or Mijdrecht (plenty of options). You can also use Thuisbezorgd for food delivery.

We had expected something different:
There were other cottages, which meant that if there had been other guests, we would have had to share the kitchen cottage with them.
Fortunately, there was no one else there.
So the sleeping area was in a separate cottage.
Slept wonderfully—good bed.
So we had to adjust a bit...
The kitchen cottage wasn’t clean; there were lots of cobwebs.
At first, there were no dish towels or the like, and there were no supplies to light the stove.
This was sorted out later.
Everything was minimal—a bit stingy.
It didn’t bother us, though, and we enjoyed the peace, nature, and space—and it was only for a short while.
The pedal boat, as shown in the photo, wasn’t suitable.We hadden een andere verwachting:

We hebben er geen last van gehad en genoten van de rust, de natuur en de ruimte en t was maar voor even.
