Attractive house with private bathroom for each bedroom. This spacious vacation home is part of a nearly 300-year-old Saxon residential farmhouse. The accommodation is located in the esdorpje Zwiggelte in the heart of Drenthe. In the modern rooms the old trusses of the farm are visible everywhere, a beautiful mix between new and old. From the entrance you enter the guest room with large dining tables and a cozy sitting area. There is a luxurious open kitchen with a cooking island. The 4 bedrooms each have a private bathroom and either a double bed or two single box springs. In the guest garden you can enjoy the sunshine and our sheep in the adjacent meadow when the weather is nice. The rooms can also be booked separately as bed & breakfast. However, when you book through this website, you will rent the entire accommodation and no other guests will be present. This location lends itself perfectly to socializing, but not to lavish parties.

With us, chickens and runner ducks scurry across the yard, ponies and sheep graze in the meadow and you can enjoy the many bird sounds around you. With a little luck you can hear the laughing call of the green woodpecker roaring through the garden and at dusk you can see the barn owl scurry out from the owl box in our barn. There are plenty of things to do in the area. There are many cycling and walking routes in the vicinity. A few kilometers away is the village of Westerbork, where all kinds of amenities are available. Also attractions such as Memorial Camp Westerbork and the museum village of Orvelte are within easy reach. In short, a pleasant rural place where there is much to do and experience.
