Our grape picker's cottage in southern France was enlarged to 35m2 in 1999. The living room/kitchen is well equipped and has a refrigerator and electric stove. There is a dining room table, a bench, cupboard and a chair. The wood stove can be lit on chilly evenings, there is plenty of chopped wood. With an open staircase you reach a loft with mattresses for 1 adult or 2 children and halfway up the stairs is the door to the toilet / shower. Downstairs also a small room with a double bed. On the terrace with stone bbq and an awning above it is pleasant with the large table. The mazette is on a beautiful property, through terraces you come from above the road, to the private, cozy living space in the center of the property. There are mountain and forest views all around. On the terrace where our old caravan is, there could be another little tent. Also here is our old laundry room, which is still good to use. There is a laundromat in Lodeve.

The house is in a nature reserve, the scattered development of Lodeve stops well before our property. The name nightingale, we have given because of the many nightingales on our property. In the nearby area include harrier, kite, hoopoe and robin. Olmet is a kilometer away at the top of the mountain. It is from our property beautiful (mountain) hiking and biking. We are in the center of 100 kilometers of protected nature reserve. Exciting gorges, steep climbs and also beautiful car trips can be made from our place. There are a number of hiking books available. By car, many starting points of walks in the Languedoc can be reached easily and within an hour. Lake Salagou is 8 km south, the Mediterranean Sea 50 minutes away. Both wonderful to alternate sun with a swim. On the plateau towards Millau is la Couvertoirade, a medieval fortified town. Horseback riding and parasailing are also among the possibilities nearby.
