This Casale is a perfectly restored old stone nature house nestled in the woods of the Umbrian-Tuscan Apennines. Cozy and furnished with care, it is equipped with all comforts. On the ground floor there is an efficient kitchen and dining room; on the second floor there are two bedrooms, living room and two bathrooms; an internal staircase then leads to a lovely attic room with a double bed.Outside there are: an area equipped with a barbeque, wood-burning oven and table protected by large oak trees, a panoramic terrace with a living room with a splendid view, and a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the valley of Seano.The property is completed by a technical room with laundry. The nearest village is about 6 km away, and there is a commissary bar open daily. On arrival guests will find a welcome pack consisting of high-quality local products, bread, cakes and homemade jams. This nature house is a house in the woods where one can enjoy the peace that only nature can offer us. Among the large oaks lives undisturbed the typical fauna of the Tuscan woods: it is not uncommon to see squirrels, porcupines, deer and wild boars; the cry of the buzzard and the drumming of the woodpecker quickly become familiar sounds.The area in which Casale Grillo is located is rich in trails suitable for walking, trekking or mountain biking, but it is also at the center of an area of great artistic, cultural, spiritual and enogastronomic interest.Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi, and Siena are just the most famous places that can be reached for a day trip; other small jewels (such as Montone or Anghiari) are scattered among the hills. A few kilometers from the house, on the road to Cortona, we overlook Lake Trasimeno, the largest lake in central Italy, with its islands and villages, an excellent destination for cyclists and lovers of good food.
