The studio is part of a larger unit, together with the House and the Apartment. Each part has its own entrance and private terrace on a different side of the building. On the floor of the room and terrace are St. Catherine floor tiles, baked in a town nearby. Around the house is beautiful: in the garden there are huge succulents, olive trees, carob trees, oleanders..... Beyond the house, towards the sea (at 7 km) the orange fields begin and towards the north the hills (for hiking).

The nature house is located on the outskirts of St Estêvão, near Tavira, between Faro and Spain (both a 30-minute drive away). St Estêvão is a village with a small supermarket, cafe/restaurant, pharmacy, church and ATM. This area of the Algarve is less touristy than west of Faro. Off the coast is a mudflat area. Most islets can be reached by boat. We ourselves like to go to Barril. You can get there by footbridge and choose to walk further or travel the 1500 m to the beach by train. It is the same little train once used by the tuna fishermen. A lot of salt is extracted and the salt pans are often home to flamingos and other birds. Tavira is one of the most beautiful and relaxing towns in the Algarve with lots of stores, supermarkets, restaurants, churches, beautiful architecture. Ayamonte, right across the border with Spain, is also a very beautiful city. You immediately notice how different the people and the streetscape are.
