This natural cottage is a delightful spot hidden in the heart of the Limousin. This 17th-century hamlet consists of a water mill, a farmhouse and a baker's cottage. The baker's cottage has been completely renovated into a cozy 2-person cottage, equipped with all modern conveniences, while respecting the original style. There is underfloor heating hidden under antique French tiles. The old fireplace of the bread oven has been refurbished and a wood-burning stove has been installed here. Windows and doors have been replaced with double glazing while retaining the century-old oak frames. On the first floor there is a comfortable sitting area by the wood stove, an open kitchen with modern appliances, a dining area and a bathroom with toilet, sink and spacious walk-in shower. On the second floor (mezzanine) is the bedroom, overlooking the living room and large windows opening onto the garden. The baker's cottage is completely detached and has a spacious private garden with terrace and garden furniture.

Nature and surroundings

This natural cottage is very quietly located, at the end of a paved road, about 5 km outside the village of Saint-Moreil. It is located in a small valley surrounded by hills, woods and meadows and it borders a lake and a stream. The property boundary is also the border of the Parc Natural Régional de Millevaches. It is therefore a fantastic place for nature lovers! The beautiful surroundings are perfect for hiking and cycling. Directly from the cottage there are numerous hiking and mountain bike trails. We have some mountain bikes that can be used free of charge. Also for cyclists there are many quiet (paved) roads in the immediate vicinity. You can swim in the lake in front of the house or in the nearby reservoir Lac Sainte-Hélène. Canoeing can be done at several places in the vicinity. The area is also excellent for horseback riding. Le Moulin de la Farge is also a good base for all kinds of excursions in the region.
