A cozy nature house in the rural low Vosges in France, where you will find peace and quiet in the quiet village of Les Thons. An ideal location to completely unwind and recharge your batteries by connecting with rural life, for example by hiking in the beautiful surrounding countryside and forests. The nature house in decorated in a country style and because "unwind" is the theme, we have no wifi installed and there is no TV. There is 1 bedroom. Shared garden with guests of first floor. The hostess, lives on the other side of the street and arrangements can be made to use certain facilities there (such as washer/dryer). Several times a week the baker comes by; details will be given on arrival. Access to the ground floor is by a few steps by stairs, so persons with certain disabilities will have to take this into account. The cottage is also not suitable for children under 12 yrs.

The low Vosges, and a little further on the high Vosges, are a unique natural area with authentic small villages and beautiful forests and nature. Clean air. Few people. Tranquility. From the A31 highway it is about 30min to the cottage. On site are hiking maps and cycling maps to borrow. There are dozens of hiking trails laid out by the regional hiking association "Club Vosgien". A local supermarket is 8km away, as well as an ATM. 13 kilometers away are the towns of Bourbonne-les-Bains and Darney, with a few larger supermarkets and other stores. Contrexeville / Vittel is a half-hour drive away. Nancy and Dijon about an hour and a half away. Caroline, the hostess, runs a course center on site for workshops such as Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation. She lives permanently in France with husband, dogs and chickens and is happy to give any information about the region.
