This glass yurt is located on the Hooge Hoenderberg overlooking the Mookerheide.During the early morning, when the dew is on the leaves, the sun casts its first rays and the view is hazy, the Mookerheide has a fairytale feel. Beautiful heather, mighty oaks. The hill was formed during the penultimate Ice Age, some 160,000 years ago. Propelling glaciers created hills and valleys of sand gravel and boulders like a bulldozer. On the other side you walk into the Groesbeek Forest. The medieval name of this primeval forest is Xanten. The height differences create an un-Dutch landscape with beautiful views of the Hoenderberg, Wolfsberg, Duivelsberg and Klein Amerika.
