This nature house is located on an estate and as a former coachman's house (on the first floor) is part of the old horse stables and tack room. The 2.5-hectare estate is located on a hill on the outskirts of the monastic village of Saint-Révérien with a fantastic unspoiled view of the valley with its forests and coulisse landscape and in the distance the regional park The Morvan. The estate's beautiful English landscape garden with century-old trees, such as gingko biloba, Lebanese cedar, linden, treures and Austrian pine, was designed in 1840. Part of this garden are the walled vegetable garden, a pond, a fruit orchard and several plant and flower borders. The nature house is still in its original state, obviously adapted to modern times. The large bathroom has been completely renovated. In the cozy living room and kitchen, overlooking garden and woods, one can still see the wooden beams on the ceiling and the old tomettes on the floor. The spacious bedroom has a lovely bed with a quality mattress. The living room with fireplace has WiFi and satellite TV including Dutch channels. You can use the entire garden.

This part of Burgundy is known for its beautiful nature and landscapes where the nights are still truly dark. The estate is on the route to Santiago de Compestella; pilgrims pass by daily on foot or on horseback. The beautiful Romanesque church of the monastery village belonged to the medieval order of Cluny. From the estate you can see the church. Beautiful walks and bike rides can be made directly from the house. One can also canoe on the Cure or the Yonne or swim in the nearby lakes. Numerous interesting castles can be visited, including Château Bazoches of the famous marshal Vauban. And of course not to forget Vezelay (Unesco heritage) with its famous basilica or the nice medieval towns like Sancerre and la Charité sur Loire. Within walking distance we find the Gallo-Roman excavation of Compierre in the forest. The Burgundians among us can indulge in the many wine châteaux and restaurants. Cosy are the weekly brocantes and markets. Groceries can be bought in the larger villages of Corbigny and Premery, about 14 kilometers away.
