This charming, thatched farmhouse dates back to the 19th century and can accommodate six adults and two children or seven adults. This family home has been recently renovated and sits on a 2,200-acre estate. A wonderful base for nature lovers. There are plenty of hiking trails, bike paths and bridle paths on the estate, which can be accessed directly from the nature house. The center of the Hanseatic city of Amersfoort is a 10-minute bike ride away. The Pyramid of Austerlitz, several museums, restaurants and golf club De Hoge Kleij are also close by. As of September 2018, this nature house has opened its doors as a Bed & Breakfast. There are three special guest rooms, each with its own bathroom. The old "Deel" of the farm has been transformed into a coach house with all comforts and with antique carriages. Outside, a terrace has been furnished. Bed and bath linen, bathrobes and slippers, a generous daily estate breakfast, coffee, tea, fireplace wood and final cleaning are included in the price!

The nature house is located on the transition from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug to the Gelderse Vallei. This largest private estate in the Netherlands is a true natural gem to explore extensively on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. In 2016, a 13,000-year-old primeval forest was discovered on the nearby nature reserve 't Vogelwater, the oldest primeval forest in the Netherlands. From the cottage you can walk to this special place in half an hour. In good weather you can take a horse and carriage ride across the estate with the experienced coachman and spot wildlife. This carriage ride is suitable for two people and takes about two hours.
