Those who love nature and water must have been once in this nature house! The former ballast pit in Eibergen, between Winterswijk and Neede, in the middle of the Achterhoek, has recently been transformed into a true carp paradise: a small France in the Netherlands! The water is several meters lower than the surrounding land and this is where it gets its name. The cottage on the water has a veranda and wood stove. On the veranda it is also possible to transform the handmade wooden benches into sofa beds, allowing you to spend the night under the stars.

The Achterhoek in Gelderland is known for its ancient nature. Around this nature house, nature is kept in honor. The trees are very old and the water is well maintained. In 2017, lilies were placed in several places and new trees were planted on the islands. Around the water, several paths have been made for walking. Furthermore, the entire area is fenced with a fence, which is ideal if you are a dog owner.
