The nature house is located on a large forest and heathland area in the outskirts of De Koog on Texel. The house is situated in a quiet location about 450 meters from the sea and one kilometer from the village of De Koog. The house is equipped with all conveniences: WiFi, television, heating with central heating, bathroom with shower and bath, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and a fully equipped kitchen. There are three bedrooms (two double rooms and one single room). Sheets, bedding and towels are provided. An ideal location to spend the vacation in a quiet way in nature and to further explore Texel. There is a (modest) vegetable garden with fresh herbs for the kitchen, strawberries in summer and (in consultation) fresh potatoes.

Texel is famous among bird and plant lovers. The grounds around the house are an old forest with some old sea pines from the 1930s, many alders and birches. The forest has a rich undergrowth of wood hyacinths and lily of the valley. Next to the forest is a large stretch of heather with a great wealth of butterflies and other insects. A great diversity of birds can be seen around the nature cottage. In the management of the site we strive to achieve the greatest possible biodiversity. For bird, plant and other nature lovers, a collection of nature guides is available in the house for general use. Within walking distance are the nature reserves De Nederlanden and De Slufter, beautiful areas for any nature lover. Of course, this house is a great starting point to further explore the nature of Texel (e.g. by bike).
