In this nature house you will find a furnished apartment for a pleasant stay, rural location on the south side of Enschede. Close to a recreational area and close to shopping centers. At a distance of five kilometers from the cozy center of Enschede. About half of the upper floor and part of the first floor belong to the apartment. It is very suitable for people who want to work in Enschede during the week, but live far from the city.

There are many different possibilities to go and enjoy nature in the surroundings of this nature house. Evening walks close to the farm can be taken in three directions. Directly behind the farmyard is a nature reserve for cyclists and hikers (north side). On the south side you can enjoy walking on dirt roads and along streams. Adjacent is a recreation park, the Rutbeek. There you can recreate in various ways, including swimming, water skiing and a climbing forest. A little further south is the Buurse sand, a moorland area with beautiful lakes, managed by Natuur Monumenten. If you feel like baking pancakes with grain from an old mill, you can go to the Wissinks Möl, an old wooden "stender box." The Witteveen is a special nature reserve with many birds and large grazers such as Scottish Highlanders. Just across the border in Germany you can also go to an old water mill called the Haarmühle. The Witteveen is an adjacent nature reserve. The area of the village of Usselo is large, but the core is small. Close by in Boekelo, are stores, a weekly market and a nice café. The town of Haaksbergen has a nice market square. An authentic steam train runs between Boekelo and Haaksbergen. For city facilities, the best place to visit is the cozy downtown Enschede.
