Visitors don't say that the earth's rays are right on this ground for nothing. The living room with kitchen has everything you need. The house has a separate bedroom, a romantic sleeping loft, a bathroom, a private terrace and a sunbathing lawn which offers you full privacy where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or sit at the fire pit in the evening. There is a chance that roe deer will visit you at dusk. The use of the adjacent sauna house is optional.

The ruralhut is set in beautiful surroundings, directly opposite the nature reserve Duurswoude, and is surrounded by forest and heaths. Nearby the house is the old forest of Bakkeveen where a visit to the Freule Pond or the castle is absolutely worth the effort. From Bakkeveen, every nature lover does not want to miss out on Meandefield. The diversity of the scenery during your walk is breathtakingly clean. Recommended places are also the seven forests of Beetsterzwaag, the Fochteloërveen, the Veenhoop and the Drents-Friese Wold. All seasons give you a special view on nature. Not far from all of this natural beauty of the Drents-Friese Wold and the three-provincial point, you can make fun trips to cities such as Groningen, Leeuwarden, Drachten and Assen. Also picturesque villages like Aldeboarn, Grouw and Dokkum are worth the effort. The bicycle rental is one and an half kilometers away from the house.
