Franziska's Barn was once a barn and now offers a comfortable retreat for couples on over 100 m2. On the ground floor with access to the terrace is the eat-in kitchen with antique tiled stove and cozy dining area. The bathroom with shower and bathtub is also at ground level. On the upper floor there is a large bedroom with a view of the deer meadow and the fir trees. Here you can enjoy a fantastic night's sleep in pleasant temperatures, even at the height of summer. There is also a seating area and a workplace as well as a small extra bed behind the screen. If it does cool down, a cast-iron stove quickly provides crackling warmth. From the garden, you can play table tennis in the basement or use the sauna and washing machine and dryer in the adjoining basement, which is accessible from the outside. From the garden you can explore the forest and discover the beautiful landscape.

The house is located on the edge of the tiny village of Simatovo. On foot you can go on wonderful hikes or reach the clean river Kupa, which flows through a wooded canyon. In the Kupa you can swim, raft or, with a fishing license, fly-fish. You can book guided bear tours or visit the Risnjak and Kamacnik nature reserves or the Plitvice Lakes on your own. The sea and the beautiful beaches of the Kvarner Bay are just an hour's drive away, as is the capital Zagreb, where you can discover a lively old town.
